"The platform is not famous beyond the pro-Trump media sphere, but it does have gravitas there, primarily thanks to Solomon, who provides analysis on conservative outlets like Bannon's 'War Room' podcast and has even interviewed Donald Trump," commented Professor Alex Hinton, who has extensively researched the Make America Great Again phenomenon.

A Contentious Ally

Her effort to transplant American conservative media to the UK has aligned her more closely to controversial figures such as John Solomon.

He founded his media outlet after scrutiny following accusations of pushing inaccurate reports about the President's actions in the Eastern European nation, as well as disputed reports about ex-ambassador to that country.

These allegations were echoed across the pro-Trump media, with the journalist appearing as a common interviewee on the widely-watched cable news broadcast. The former president personally endorsed Solomon's reporting.

Solomon made the allegations regarding Ukraine in a number of opinion pieces for the outlet the political newspaper, where he was re-labelled as a columnist when staffers raised concerns about his work. Although the former PM's unnatural presentation and political travails have invited ridicule in Britain, some US observers do not dismiss her bid to revamp her image as a local version of the Make America Great Again press.

"You have to take folks like that seriously, although you may not want to accept their words at face value," commented a former Biden White House aide, who was employed in the Biden White House.

"You saw how in 2024 President Trump leveraged that ecosystem to disseminate his views. Certainly that sphere exports and influences conversation overseas. It appears quite apparent to me that the environment in the Britain are akin to what permitted this parallel press sphere to prosper in America."

Alan Finlayson, said the online conservative ecosystem was already exerting influence in the United Kingdom.

"Online platforms knows no borders," he said. "There's a kind environment within which content circulates – sometimes taking an extreme form and sometimes less so – but which is connected."

Hinton said the growth of the internet-based right wing in the United Kingdom lately meant the "chance to have a larger effect is substantial."
